I was channel surfing the other day and came across The Mysterious Cities of Gold being played on Boomerang. It's a cartoon I use to watch back in the 80's. As the open credits say "It is the Sixteenth Century. From all over Europe great ships sail west to conquer the New World - the Americas; the men eager to seek their fortune, to find new adventures in new lands. They long to cross uncharted seas and discover unknown countries; to find secret gold on a mountain trail high in the Andes. They dream of following the path of the setting sun, that leads to El Dorado and The Mysterious Cities of Gold"
I haven't seen this cartoon since the 80's and when I stumbled acoss it again the other day, I've been hooked all over again. For me this is like the Robotech cartoons or the original Transformers. It's good fun and the kids of today would probably get a real kick out of it. 5 stars, well worth the effort to find and watch.
