Orgaloth shrugs,

"It space boat. I leave because take too long and it too danger to go back. Dead Orgaloth can't fight empire."

So Johnson how did you get a hold of this ship and what are you doing all the way out here? Just in case one of these times I'm out here again and I need your help.
You, you, and you panic. The rest of you come with me.

addressing Johnson
"Now that you mention it, i do believe there was some unusual behavior from the pilot.

First, if I recall correctly when he first communicated with us he stated he was only the pilot and was not privy at all to our mission and that he would not want any particulars. it now seems a little odd, when nothing was asked of him or volunteered to him.

Secondly, when the shuttle reverted to real space unexpectedly, Burner and I rushed to the cockpit. The pilot was already sweating even though the temperature on the shuttle was set to normal. He was also speaking in an alien tongue I could not discern. At that point the computer stated that all systems were being shut down do to catastrophic system failure.

Thirdly, when asked if we can assist while he was working on the shuttles power core and he said there was no room for anyone else to assist him there and we should go and see if we can figure out where we were and to think of creative ways to stay alive.

I do not think there was anything else. After I got a location using the star charts, the Pilot was with Burner and me pretty much the rest of the time. When time permits I can fill out a full report or I am willing to go to a debrief about the situation, whichever you prefer Sgt. Johnson."

To Gregory, "It will be done."

To Orgaloth, "I don't mean to pry, but besides being shot at by them today, what do you have against the Empire?"

To Burner, "The Endeavor is mine. It was assigned to me after The Fall," he says with conviction as if they should all know what he is talking about. "I have a great amount of discretion and therefore am able to take my ship, crew, and operatives anywhere that I deem necessary. As far as contacting me when you get into trouble, I believe I already gave you and Niko the means to contact me. The reason I am in this area is that immediately after the two of you left, one of my agents informed me that the pilot's family had disappeared. The likely alternatives were either he hid them as he was planning to betray and defect, or they had been kidnapped by the enemy and were being threatened in order to coerce him into betraying us. I lean towards the second as he had a longstanding service record in our organization. Anyways, after finding this information, we immediately followed the shuttles course to make sure that you arrived at your destination. I guess it was fortuitous that we did."

To Niko, "Very good. So it sounds like he would have had ample time, and opportunity to pull-off everything that happened... Also he seemed nervous. Excellent deductions. We can go over particulars and debrief more fully a bit later on, but was there anything else related to the pilot that stood out to you?"

Johnson pushes a button on his wrist as he raises it in front of his face and says in a low voice, "Azora, send a few techs over to The Bird and have them do a thorough damage assessment. If the situation warrants, have us rendezvous with the Dark Venture."

"Redemption alternate craft; Taris lower levels, somewhere safe from the bombardment. Check our local contacts."

"Unless we were able to miraculously revive the pilot, have an autopsy done as well as check for neural damage and then do the normal routine."

There is an inaudible reply and then Johnson turns back to the group, "I apologize, unfortunately time is of the essence and so I must mix work and pleasure to some degree.

He smiles as he continues, "I hate to even ask this, but desperate times call for desperate measures. As you've heard, one of my operatives went off the grid a few hours ago. What we had hoped was an over-site in failing to check in has now become far more grave. The fact that Tezca knows about it means it is for real and the consequences for failure will be costly. I don't want to bore you with all the particulars of how bad this is, but I need some help. We had heard whispers of what Tezca alluded to. If either of those organizations has our man... I need a few people that are not directly affiliated with my organization who can go unnoticed in their quest to find out what happened to him. I will give you any help that I can, as well as do what I can to help you in your personal quests... Will you help me?"

OOC: heh, you want to see long-winded, look at the third post on page 24. I worked on that one for a few hours...
Oh and btw, you don't ever need to apologize about being long-winded. When you are it just gives me that much more to work with.

Also, I had meant to wait and draw this out a little as Johnson tried to convince Orgaloth and Gregory to join him, unfortunately I got a little impatient and want to get back in the action, so if this seems rushed, that is why.

"I free Dressel from Empire, so family safe."

Orgaloth continues to eat, and indicates for more food.

"Fair enough," he says while pondering. "I also have no love for the Empire or anyone who supports them and their evil agenda. You know they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend..."

The droid server brings more of whatever Orgaloth was eating.

"You help Orgaloth, Orgaloth help you."

He eats most of his next steak, then pulls out the datadisc he was asked to retreive. He inserts it into his datapad and attempts to read it again. He holds up the pad for the others to see,

"What language this?"

"Excellent, not to worry, you will be well compensated."

Taking the datapad from Orgaloth, Johnston studies it for a few moments; his countenance grows notably darker. "The language appears to be an offshoot dialect of the Sy Bisti language." He looks up at Orgaloth rather abruptly, "Where did you get this?"
